How will students be awarded?
Students in this programme will receive the Certificate of Attendance or Certificate of Completion.
Who can enroll in this programme?
Current students and working adults.

When is progamme registration?

Students can enroll anytime.

What about study materials?

Study material will be provided for all programmes.


Diploma in Automotive Engineering Technology (DAET)

What is the title awarded?
The award from Despark College is Diploma in Automotive Engineering Technology.
Is DAET recognized by the Malaysian government?
Diploma in Automotive Engineering Technology is approved by Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and accredited by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).

When are the intakes?

The course is offered in January, April and September.

How long is the programme?

The course duration is 2 ½ years comprising 5 long semesters and 2 short semester with 17 weeks per semester (long) and 9 weeks per semester (short).

How many subjects are there?

There are a total of 24 modules + 3 MPU subjects (For local students) to complete in order to graduate.

What are the entry requirements?

SPM with minimum 3 credits in Maths and Sciences subject & pass in English/ O Level/UEC or equivalent.

Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3 with minimum 1 credit in SPM and 1 year working experience in automotive.

Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3 with minimum 1 credit in SPM and 1 semester bridging program.

City & Guilds Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.

Other qualifications: Any other qualifications will be considered on a case-to-case basis.

How are students assessed?

Students are assessed with assignments, practical test, mid-term examinations, group projects, written examinations and industrial placement.

When do students register for examinations?

Please contact the college for dates.

What is the passing mark?

The passing mark is 44% for each subject.

How often are classes conducted?

Students will be having classes between 3 – 5 days a week, depending on the semester and subjects.

What are the study materials used?

Despark College issues texts aimed to guide students throughout each semester for each subject. The coordinator will assist students regarding to study materials.

What options are available after this programme?

Upon successful completion of the Diploma in Automotive Engineering Technology students can further their studies, in several universities locally or study abroad in UK, China, and New Zealand through advanced standing either into the final year of their undergraduate degree.

What are the career prospects?

Most students obtain jobs in the relevant field upon completing the programme.

Is there any financial assistance?

PTPTN, EPF withdrawal, Kojadi loans and scholarships are available to deserving students. Please contact the college for details.


Certificate in Automotive Engineering Technology (CAET)


What is the entry requirement for CAET?

SPM with at least 1 credit in any subject and Pass Mathematics.

UEC Grade B in 1 subject and Pass Mathematics.

Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 2 with Pass SPM.

What is the title awarded?

The award from Despark College is Certificate in Automotive Engineering Technology.
